CABOT CITRUS FARMS

Located in the central-west region of Florida, aptly known as the Nature Coast, Cabot Citrus Farms is set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty. The landscape is marked by dramatic elevation changes, rolling hills, sandy soil, and a canopy of sand pines, palmetto trees, and century-old moss-covered oaks. The destination features 56 holes of golf, including two regulation-length courses, Karoo and Roost, a 9-hole course called The Squeeze, and an 11-hole par-3 course named The Wedge. In addition to golf, the property offers luxury accommodations, real estate opportunities, elevated dining, a full range of off-course adventures, and various outdoor trails, embodying a reimagined vision for Florida golf and active wellness.

Position Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Rooms Director, is a key member of the team supporting Cabot's hospitality operation and guest experience to deliver on the brand's mission to "Create Magical Places Where Remarkable Memories are Made".

Joining a new and growing team, this role will be a member of the pre-opening team. Ensuring facility and service readiness, contributing to resort programming, and developing operational guidelines for their teams. Areas of responsibility include Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Facilities Maintenance. As a new venture, this presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are passionate about team building, development, and fostering a service-oriented culture. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all fiscal responsibilities for the development and implementation of the rooms annual business plan and future strategies
  • Establish key performance objectives and plans to ensure the resort meets its business targets and drives sustainable, profitable growth
  • Drive high levels of guest satisfaction through the consistent execution of Cabot's brand standards, visible operational leadership, active trend analysis, and hands-on interaction with guests and employees
  • Develop operational procedures and systems to ensure a successful pre-opening
  • Monitor performance metrics and guest feedback for continuous improvement
  • Handle guest comments and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest needs are met, while consistently maintaining a high level of service (i.e., Trip Advisor, In Person, Google)
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to maintain service excellence
  • Maintain and develop high standards of operations in the Front Office, Facilities Maintenance, and Housekeeping by ensuring all SOPs are relevant, up to date, trained effectively, and operationally delivered
  • Continuous focus on employee satisfaction and ensures continuous improvement plans are executed effectively, and as needed, with a focus on a team and succession planning culture
  • Guide daily operations meetings with the rooms team to plan for immediate operational demands
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, assessing, and evaluating, coaching, and counseling and recognizing and rewarding department heads
  • Compile, interpret, and analyze the overall budget process for rooms, including accurate forecasting and market segment analysis
  • Foster a high level of camaraderie and high morale within the operational teams and employees

Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Rooms Division with 5-star hotel is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Opera
  • Computer literacy with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and a basic knowledge of Adobe
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset
  • Strong operational leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent guest service and problem-resolution skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • The flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
  • Must be able to work under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking
