The Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration is hiring a Director or Rooms. This is an amazing opportunity for a rooms savvy leader to come in and lead the rooms division of your newly renovated hotel.

Responsibilities

The Director of Rooms is a management position within our hotel, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the "Rooms Division" including front desk operations, housekeeping, concierge, bell services, and guest services, ensuring smooth operations, maximizing guest satisfaction, and achieving revenue goals by managing room inventory and staff performance across these departments while adhering to brand standards and budget constraints; essentially acting as the strategic leader for the guest experience within the hotel's rooms division.
Overseeing daily operations of the front desk, housekeeping, and guest services departments.
Monitoring room inventory and occupancy levels to optimize revenue.
Implementing and enforcing hotel policies and procedures related to guest services.
Conducting regular room inspections to maintain cleanliness and quality standards.
Recruiting, hiring, and training staff for all rooms division departments.
Supervising and evaluating the performance of front desk agents, housekeepers, concierge staff, and bellhops.
Developing and implementing staff training programs to enhance service quality.
Addressing staff concerns and resolving employee issues.
Handling guest complaints and ensuring prompt resolution.
Identifying opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and create memorable experiences.
Proactively addressing special guest requests and needs.
Monitoring guest feedback and implementing necessary improvements.
Managing departmental budget, including labor costs and supplies.
Analyzing operational data to identify areas for cost optimization
Implementing strategies to maximize room revenue through upselling and yield management.
Working closely with other departments within the hotel, including sales, marketing, and food & beverage.
Communicating effectively with guests, staff, and senior management.
Staying updated on industry trends and implementing innovative practices to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Extensive experience in hotel operations, particularly within the rooms division.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in hotel management systems and software.
Marriott experience preferred.
