RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership
  • Lead, manage, and hold the team accountable to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Delegate effectively while elevating team members to reach their full potential.
  • Develop and streamline processes for scalability and efficiency.
  • Build and implement a structured sales training program to develop high-performing team members.
  • Coach direct reports on outreach strategies and effective product positioning.
  • Train the team on lead qualification and prioritization, converting inbound leads into warm and hot opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators to measure team effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Own the vision of building a sales team balancing sales strategy and maintaining account management.

Strategy
  • Predict and plan for short- and long-term sales forecasting to drive revenue growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to refine our sales strategy and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Event Design teams to ensure client-focused innovation.
  • Oversee and optimize the sales features within the HubSpot CRM, ensuring it aligns with our sales and marketing strategy.
  • Stay ahead of HubSpot product updates and industry trends to implement best-in-class sales technology.
  • Pricing and Packaging: Work with finance and leadership to develop competitive pricing strategies for sponsorships and ticket sales.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy for new offerings.

Business Development
  • Travel for important sales meetings, VIP client interactions, and for Kayo events.
  • Represent Kayo at events as a speaker, moderator, or key client liaison.
  • Maintain and grow strong client relationships through teaching proactive account management and ongoing engagement.
  • Identify market gaps and bring new business opportunities to Kayo.
  • Client Feedback Loop: Gather insights from clients to inform product development and sales strategies.

Sales
  • Own the full sales cycle, including your team's efforts in prospecting, lead qualification, discovery calls, proposals, and contracting.
  • Develop and refine the sales process by product in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Create a sales team of product experts who can effectively sell a suite of B2B offerings to diverse personas and companies.
  • Manage and grow your team to increase an annual book of business currently valued at $3.5M.
  • Sales Enablement: Work with marketing to develop sales collateral, case studies, and thought leadership content to support the sales process.

** This is hybrid opportunity based in Charlottesville, VA with a 15% - 30% traveling commitment on a fluctuating scale **

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • 3-5 years of sales team leadership experience, managing and growing teams of at least 5+ direct reports.
  • A successful past track record as an individual contributor in sales, driving revenue growth ($1M annually, $250K quarterly).
  • Experience using a CRM to the full for managing, forecasting, and aligning the Sales Team's and Marketing Team's efforts.
  • Experience hiring, training, and developing sales teams, including building sales training programs.
  • Strong experience in client retention and growth strategies.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and other departments.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or completion of a sales certificate/program.
  • Historic experience Leading a Team generating $3.5M annually or $1M quarterly in sales.
  • Experience in conference sales.
  • Experience using HubSpot CRM.

Desired:
  • Experience selling sponsorships and/or tickets for conferences.
  • Sales experience within the finance industry.
  • Previous experience working in an EOS-run company.

SALARY: $110k - $120k base with uncapped commission

BENEFITS: Health, Dental, Vision, (eligibility begins on the first of the month following your start date), paid time off + 10 paid holidays, hybrid work schedule (after 30 days of employment)
