Position Summary

The Director of Sales, Off-Price Apparel and Accessories, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategies and operations of our off-price product lines. Your role will involve working closely with retailers and licensors, managing merchandise assortments, and collaborating with production, design, and sourcing teams to execute on assortment lines. You will also be responsible for ensuring that products meet internal and external pricing and margin goals.

Essential Duties and responsibilities
  • Lead the development of financial and assortment plans in partnership with design, sourcing, and external partners to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Collaborate with licensors to ensure all product assortments are aligned with brand expectations and market demands.
  • Partner with production and design teams to drive the execution of seasonal product lines, ensuring that design and production timelines align with sales strategies.
  • Evaluate, cost, and price merchandise to meet both internal and external pricing targets, while ensuring profitability and margin goals are met.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including retailers, licensors, vendors, and internal teams, to drive successful product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Mentor and lead support teams, providing strategic direction and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the flow of goods to maximize sales opportunities while minimizing excess stock.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a sales leader within the off-price apparel and accessories industry.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed financial goals.
  • Strong understanding of product costing, pricing strategies, and margin management.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate cross-functionally with design, merchandising, production, and sourcing teams.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing key partnerships and relationships.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on market trends, sales performance, and financial objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Experience in the licensed goods space is preferred, but not required.

Working conditions
  • Professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
  • Require up to 20% travel.
  • Hybrid position in our Glendale office (3 days in office).
