Montauk Yacht Club is seeking a Director of Sales to join the team at our 107-room luxury property within The Collective. Holding eight decades of East End history as an elite social club and thoughtfully reborn for the modern traveler, guests can expect classic East Coast architecture, well-appointed interiors and detail-driven amenities.
As Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and growth for our hotel. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, leading a high-performance sales team, and fostering relationships with key clients to maximize room bookings and event sales.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and revenue strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and motivate the sales team to consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales goals
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners and other key partners
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats in the market
- Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast revenue and prepare annual, quarterly and monthly sales reports for the executive team
- Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales
- Event Sales: Drive event and banquet sales by actively promoting our banquet facilities and working closely with event planners
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all sales interactions and customer experiences align with the hotel's luxury brand standards
- Sales Training: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership in the luxury hotel industry
- Strong local market knowledge preferred but not required
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset
