Role Summary:
The Director of Sales at ProEdge Dental Water Labs will be a pivotal leadership position, reporting directly to the President, Kelley Birschbach. This role is critical in driving the company's revenue growth and will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with ProEdge's mission of ensuring dental patient safety through innovative infection control solutions.
This leader will be tasked with optimizing sales processes, implementing robust data analysis systems, and fostering strong relationships with key dealer partners. They will need to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on sales leadership, driving performance across multiple customer segments, including DSOs and GP practices. The role demands expertise in distribution and end user sales, with a strong emphasis on value-based selling and the ability to articulate the unique benefits of ProEdge's products, particularly the company's dashboard solution.
Cross-functional leadership will be a crucial aspect of this position. The Director of Sales will work closely with Marketing to develop effective sales tools and messaging, collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless client onboarding and retention, and provide valuable market insights to inform product development. Requirements
Success Outcome #1: Strategic Sales Leadership and Team Development
- Implement a value-based selling approach focused on ProEdge's unique distribution, dashboard and partnership benefits
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales (sell-in and sell-through) strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Design and implement foundational sales systems and processes that drive consistent performance
- Developing and motivating both existing and new team members to exceed goals through targeted training and development programs
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, measured by increased team engagement (eNPS)
- Mentor and develop future leaders within the sales organization and broader company
Success Outcome #2: Revenue Growth and Relationship Management
- Develop, achieve and exceed revenue targets by aligning team activities with organizational strategies
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with the top dealer partners
- Develop targeted strategies for key customer segments, including DSOs, to increase market share
- Drive sustained year-over-year growth in the GP segment, particularly outside of incentive seasons
- Improve customer retention rates and expand existing client partnerships
- Represent ProEdge Dental effectively in high-level client meetings and industry events
Success Outcome #3: Sales Optimization and Cross-Functional Alignment
- Implement and fully leverage a robust CRM system for enhanced data analysis and decision-making
- Create clear, segment-specific sales processes from prospecting to closing
- Develop and track KPIs to measure and improve sales effectiveness across all stages of the funnel
- Increase opportunity conversion rates and overall sales team efficiency
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact
- Contribute to product strategy and company direction by providing valuable market insights and customer feedback
