POSITION SUMMARY
Directs the overall sales strategy for Crete Carrier in an assigned region of the country and maintains contact with key markets and customers in order to capitalize on freight opportunities to maximize potential growth and profit.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performs supervisory responsibilities to effectively manage personnel including interviewing, hiring, firing, training, developing, planning, assigning work, coaching, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving
problems.
* Develops and executes sales strategies for a diverse customer base with an emphasis on strategic accounts.
* Analyzes lane profitability, yield, and pricing to determine appropriate corrective measures.
* Ensures sales strategies and goals are properly aligned through involvement in the bid process.
* Develops, implements, and refines department policies and procedures to ensure overall effective departmental performance.
* Establishes and maintains positive working relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Confers with executives and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
* Utilizes resources based on forecasts to maximize results.
* Travels to call on existing and prospective customers.
* Receives and carries out instructions.
* Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
* Performs other duties as assigned

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
* Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
* Solves problems and makes decisions independently and proactively.
* Manages multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
* Ability to travel.
