We are seeking a strong leader for a great Iowa non-profit to become the next Director of Scholarship Impact--reporting to the Vice President of Community Impact.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will overseeall scholarship activities at the Foundation, including the selection and recommendation processes, awarding, monitoring, and reporting of scholarships annually across a 20-county region.The person in this position must demonstrate professional and personal commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion and must be able to work in a team environment to ensure organizational goals are attained.

Specifically, you will:

  • Provide leadership and overall coordination of scholarship activities within the Impact Team and engage colleagues in the scholarship process.
  • Work with the Vice President of Community Impact and Impact Team colleagues to develop strategies to increase scholarship impacts and measure progress and gaps to adjust scholarship strategies and systems.
  • Work in collaboration with otherImpact Teamcolleagues and communications staff to tell stories of impact for the community, and for donor-specific reporting, event production,convenings and other opportunities for donor/scholarship recipient engagement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of theImpact Teamannual budget.
  • Ensure successful alignment of scholarship selection committees with CFNEIA values.
  • Prioritize relationship-building with prospective and current scholarship committees, and stewardvolunteers relationship to and understanding of the Foundation to strengthen engagement in community leadership, development, and scholarships.
  • Guide the scholarship management process and procedures.Champion trust-based philanthropy practices and principles and advocate for the needs of students seeking assistance to pursue higher education.
  • Establishes relationships with designees for designated scholarships to ensure impactful scholarships that adhere to our foundations policies.

Skills/Qualifications that youmust have:

  • At least 5 years of relevant related professional experience.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage large amounts of report data
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and succinctly summarize applicant highlights for decision-making

Skills/Qualifications that arenice to have, but NOT required:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Grantmaking experience
  • Knowledge of the Cedar Valley, IA community
