At EMR, we are committed to safeguarding our people, property, and information. We are seeking a seasoned Director of Security to lead our security strategy and operations across all locations. This is a critical leadership role for someone with a strong background in security management, an innovative mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally with key departments like HR, IT, and Risk Management.

Position Summary:

The Director, Security is responsible for the overall safety and protection of EMR's personnel, assets, and operations. This includes designing and enforcing security policies, managing physical and electronic security systems, overseeing security staff, and coordinating responses to incidents and threats. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing comprehensive security programs and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and strategies


  • Manage day-to-day security operations and supervise security personnel


  • Coordinate internal and external investigations of security breaches and incidents


  • Evaluate and improve existing security systems and infrastructure


  • Conduct security audits and risk assessments across facilities


  • Ensure compliance with applicable security regulations and standards


  • Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and external security agencies


  • Prepare detailed reports on security status, incidents, and improvements


  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Risk Management to ensure a unified approach to organizational safety

  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field (preferred)


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management or a similar leadership role


  • Valid driver's license


  • In-depth knowledge of physical and digital security systems and protocols


  • Experience conducting investigations and managing crisis response


  • Familiarity with security compliance standards and regulatory frameworks


Annual pay $90 - 120k/yr
