- The Director of Senior Living Services is responsible for the operations of the Care Center and Assisted Living departments. The Director of Senior Living Services serves residents by anticipating and identifying developing trends in resident care and best practices. The Director of Senior Living Services maintains a quality and resident-centered focus and understands and upholds the regulatory requirements. The Director of Senior Living Services is responsible for interacting with key stakeholders for the smooth running of Care Center and Assisted Living operations.
- This position is a member of the Senior Leadership team and works closely with the CEO to position the organization for success. The position interacts with the CEO, other Senior Leaders, the Medical Staff, members of the Board of Directors, managers, staff, patients, and the public. Carries the title of Director of Nursing of the Care Center and also Clinical Nurse Supervisor of the Assisted Living.
- Supervisory responsibilities include departments: Care Center, Assisted Living, Activities, Social Services, and Foodservices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participates in facility/departmental strategic planning and decision-making
- Achieves operational objectives, by contributing information and analysis to functional strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; supporting team leaders and team members; completing audits; determining system improvements; assisting in implementing change.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
- Assists the CEO with medical staff initiatives and issues as appropriate.
- Develops, monitors, and operates within the operation's capital budgets and provides variance justification.
- Defines, monitors, and manages cost control, productivity improvement, and maximization of net revenues within the department.
- Develops and maintains systems and processes to support quality, risk management, safety, and infection control.
- Monitors performance and evaluates structures, systems, and processes in areas of responsibility; ensures adequate nursing and other staffing to meet resident needs.
- Participates and represents programs/services in management meetings and committee meetings/functions, as directed.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies/procedures and responds to facility-wide customer concerns or complaints.
- May be required to perform direct patient care as appropriate in the clinical setting.

- Improves quality results by developing plans and programs; and introducing and evaluating new programs and technology.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

- Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair, and maintenance needs.
- Confidentiality of all data, including patient, resident, employee, and operations data.
- Quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from any sort of harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.

- Follow up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers, patients, or residents regarding reported complaints, problems, and/or concerns.
- Promotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members and guests.
- Completes requirements for in-service and annual training, acceptable attendance, uniform dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
- Experience: 3-5 years of clinical healthcare experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
