- The director will lead and mentor a team of account managers, and logistics coordinators and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, and establish goals, objectives, and performance expectations for the team.
- Offer coaching and feedback to enhance individual and team performance. Encourage a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
- Develop and execute account management strategies to enhance revenue growth and client retention. Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients. Monitor account performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
- The Director will also collaborate with their team to develop and implement comprehensive account strategies, analyze market trends and competitor activity, and prepare and present strategic account plans.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenue and profitability. Monitor revenue performance closely and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Customer engagement duties encompass coordinating and attending regular customer meetings, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between the customer and internal teams, and overseeing contract negotiations and renewals.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess both team and individual performance. Compile reports and presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular reports and forecasts to, and be responsible for preparing and managing the P&L.
Requirements:

- Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, competitive drive, passion, and self-motivation.
- 3-5 years of transportation/logistics experience, preferably within the freight brokerage environment.
- 3 years of experience in managing a team, with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
- Proficiency in developing KPIs, forecasting customer needs, and managing P&L.
- In depth knowledge of TMS systems, preferably McLeod
- Strong ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to identify and resolve customer issues and concerns.
- Leaders must be able to clearly articulate expectations, goals, and responsibilities to their team.
- The ability to track progress, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement is crucial for driving accountability.
