Required Qualifications and Experience
1.Master's Degree in a related field
2. 5-7 years of experience in a field of public education, part of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity
3. Supervisory Certificate for Pupil Personnel Services PK-12
4. Supervisory Certificate for Special Education PK-12
5. School Administrator Certificate for Principal PK-12

Job Goal
To coordinate services provided to students District-wide for all school-aged children in grades kindergarten through 12 including those being educated in non-public schools, hospitalization programs, and other outside agencies. Programs include special education, health services, counseling services, school psychological services, school social work services, child accounting services, homeless and migrant student services, gifted education services, instructional support services, home/school visitor services, homebound services, and Student Assistance Program services. Collaborate with teaching and learning staff to support English Language Learners.

Essential Functions
1. Plans for, directs, and supports professional and non-professional staff by developing, coordinating and ensuring implementation of effective system-wide special education, health services, counseling services, school psychological services, school social work services, child accounting services, homeless and migrant student services, gifted education services, instructional support services, home/school visitor services, homebound services, and Student Assistance Program services. In conjunction with building principals and department members, evaluates programs and supervises the revisions of student (pupil) services programs and services to meet the ongoing needs of the District. Collaborate with teaching and learning staff to support English Language Learners.
2. Abides by federal, state and local school laws, guidelines and regulations, mandated programs, District policies and administrative regulations.
3. Supervises child accounting and enrollment staff, to include compliance with attendance policies, manages truancy issues, promptly reviews, investigates and resolves issues related to student residency or homelessness.
4. Ensures compliance with all federal and state Child Find mandates.
5. Ensures appropriate educational placements and compliance with all federal and state requirements pertaining to homeless students, migrant students and students in foster care. Acts as or supervises the designated liaisons for programs and agencies which have legal responsibilities or authority to intervene in matters relating to homeless students, migrant students and students in foster care.
6. Directs the collection, dissemination, maintenance, and destruction of student records. Oversees and ensures compliance with state and federal mandates relating to protection and dissemination of student information.
7. Supervises and assists building principals in the evaluation of pupil services staff and monitors and ensures District-wide adherence to legal requirements, federal, state and local guidelines and District policy and practices pertaining to pupil services.
8. Ensures compilation of data and preparation and timely submission of required, legally compliant and pupil services reports to state and federal agencies. Prepares informational reports related to pupil services as requested. Recommends additions or revisions to policies, administrative regulations, and programs pertaining to pupil services.
9. Prepares the department budgets in consultation with the administrative team; approves purchase orders for pupil services programs; supervises the appropriate use of funds; and ensures existence, timelines, and flexibility of interagency agreements.
10. Participates in and contributes to District-level curricular and administrative meetings; provides periodic updates legal issues in pupil services to appropriate administrative and instructional staff; facilitates staff participation in psychiatric staffing and treatment plan (mental health) meetings; works with department chairpersons to conduct meetings designed to promote efficient functioning of special education services; and serves as a member of the administrative team.

Centennial School District (CSD) may schedule interviews for this position on a rolling basis
Rolling interviews means inviting applicants in for interviews or phone screens as they apply or after a designated date. Moving to rolling interviews may be used for positions to assist CSD in moving the process forward to meet the needs of our organization. Doing so will allow CSD to move promising candidates through our process as we receive them. This may mean we end up with candidates in different phases of the process.
