Director of Technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or related Certification(s)
- A minimum of 5 or more years' experience in the management of IT operations, experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Understanding of Email Systems, Microsoft 365 is preferred
- Understanding of network and end-point security, intrusion detection, and anti-malware platforms
- Understanding of how data centers, networks, and other related computing technologies are designed and maintained, including disaster recovery and security methodologies
- Ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion
- Ability to effectively problem solve, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to teach and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional service to all users
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members, staff, and vendors to solve complex problems, and contributing to an overall positive team environment
- High-level ability to troubleshoot complex technology problems
- Excellent organization skills - project management skills and the ability to meet project timelines, budget requirements, and overall deliverables
- Understanding of IT operations best practices - service level objectives, change management, asset management, vendor management, ITIL Framework experience is preferred
- Knowledge of student data systems is preferred
- Knowledge of classroom technology is preferred. (i.e. SmartBoards, document cameras, sound systems and sound field, projectors, cameras, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to work with the Board of Education, Community, and Parents on various district-wide technology initiatives
- Experience supervising staff
