Job Summary: Responsible for the direction, coordination, integration and implementation of technology for the Cooperative. Coordinate the development and implementation of software, educational technology and use of systems.
Supervisor: ECHO Joint Agreement Superintendent
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required
Three years of experience in a technology related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Contract: Annual contract, salary, and benefits are established by the Executive Board of ECHO.

Functions: Ensure the integrity of ECHO's network, applications, and ancillary systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Management:
o Ensure smooth operation of network infrastructure, including servers, switches, and routers.
o Monitor and maintain internet connectivity and bandwidth to support educational activities.
o Implement and update cybersecurity measures to protect student data and school systems.
2. Hardware and Software Management:
o Oversee procurement, deployment, and maintenance of computers, tablets, interactive whiteboards, and other educational technology hardware.
o Manage software licensing and updates, including educational software, operating systems, and productivity tools.
3. Educational Technology Integration:
o Collaborate with educators to integrate technology into curriculum and instructional practices effectively.
o Provide training and support for teachers and staff on educational technology tools and best practices.
4. Data Management and Analytics:
o Establish protocols for data collection, storage, and analysis to inform decision-making.
o Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, FERPA) and develop data security protocols.
5. Digital Learning Platforms:
o Oversee learning management systems (LMS) and other digital platforms used for instruction and communication.
o Evaluate and recommend new technologies that support personalized learning and student engagement.
6. Budget and Resource Management:
o Develop and manage the technology budget, prioritizing expenditures based on educational goals and strategic plans.
o Identify funding sources, grants, and partnerships to support technology initiatives.
7. Support and Helpdesk Services:
o Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
o Establish a helpdesk system for tracking and resolving technology-related requests and incidents.
8. Policy Development and Compliance:
o Develop and update technology policies, including acceptable use policies (AUP) and digital citizenship guidelines.
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to technology use and data privacy.
9. Strategic Planning and Evaluation:
o Participate in strategic planning sessions to align technology initiatives with educational goals and priorities.
o Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of technology programs and initiatives to measure effectiveness and impact.
10. Professional Development:
o Promote professional growth among technology staff through training, certifications, and networking opportunities.
o Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in educational technology practices.
11. Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
o Communicate technology initiatives and updates to parents, community members, and stakeholders.
o Collaborate with district administrators, school board members, and other stakeholders on technology-related matters.
12. Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Recovery:
o Develop and implement contingency plans for technology failures, data breaches, and other emergencies.
o Ensure systems and data backups are in place and regularly tested to minimize disruptions.
