Position Description: Director of Technology
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services
Classification:12-Month Work Calendar, Exempt Administrative Compensation Plan Level B ($115,000 - $138,000)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services or designee, the Director of Technology is responsible for the district-wide direction, coordination, integration and implementation of technology.

Sufficient hearing and speech to comprehend office conversation and to communicate orally in a clear, understandable manner. Work is performed in office environments at various district locations, including schools and construction sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in related field or equivalent technology experience. Progressively responsible experience in the development, installation and maintenance of information systems. Experience in a school district or other large public agency is desirable.
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Arizona Department of Education Certification preferred. Valid Arizona Driver's License

Position Description: Director of Technology

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: (essential functions)
- Network administration including district WAN
- Maintenance of all classroom, labs and administrative workstations
- Maintenance of all local and network printers
- Develop, facilitate and deliver staff development for Certified, Classified and Administrative staff
- Develop scope, purchase, install and maintain all special systems for new campuses
- Establish network logins for staff and students
- Administer phone systems, security camera systems, bells and intercom systems
- Administer and monitor network filtering system
- Supervise I.T. technicians and educational technology staff
- Maintain video conferencing equipment
- Maintain all warranties for servers/desktops/network equipment and printers
- Administer E-Rate
- Develop and maintain department budget(s)
- Develop and maintain cyber security best practices
- Email system administration
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of general safety rules and techniques.
- Knowledge of district rules of conduct.
- Knowledge of design, code, test and modify programs to meet user requirements
