DESCRIPTION:
As the Director of Total Rewards reporting to The Vice President of Human Resources you will have the opportunity to create and manage comprehensive compensation programs and support benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent while ensuring competitive and equitable practices aligned with organizational goals.
Compensation Strategy and Design
Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards philosophy that aligns with company culture and strategic goals
Conduct in-depth market analysis using compensation benchmarking sources
Design complex compensation frameworks including:
o Base salary structures
o Short-term and long-term incentive variable pay plans
o Executive compensation programs
o Performance-based variable pay strategies
Create pay equity analysis and recommendations
Develop job architecture and career progression frameworks
Implement advanced compensation modeling techniques
Performance Management System Design and Management
Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop performance management frameworks that align with total rewards strategy
Oversee the performance management system, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes to reward individual, team, business unit, and corporate achievement.
Ensure performance expectations are clearly communicated and aligned with organizational goals.
Strategic Partnerships and Compliance
Collaborate with broader HR, Talent Acquisition, and finance departments
Ensure compliance with federal and state compensation regulations
Maintain expertise in:
o ERISA guidelines
o IRS compensation regulations
o Equal Pay Act requirements
o ACA compliance
Employee Experience and Communication
Develop compelling total rewards communication strategies
Create personalized total compensation statements
Design employee education programs about compensation and benefits
Implement feedback mechanisms for rewards programs
Total Rewards Technology and Analytics
Implement and optimize total rewards management technologies
Develop advanced analytics dashboards for compensation and benefits metrics
Create predictive modeling for compensation trends
Conduct ROI analysis for rewards programs
Implement data visualization tools for stakeholder communication
Benefits Program Support
Serve as a support, backup, and contributor to the Benefits function as it relates to Total Rewards plans and programs:
o Self-insured medical, dental, vision, Rx, etc
o Company-sponsored, voluntary and supplemental insurance
o Disability and LOA
o 401k Retirement
REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Background
Master's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Compensation Management
Advanced certifications preferred:
o Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
o SHRM-SCP
Professional Experience
Minimum 10 years total rewards experience and blend of other HR functional experience
Proven track record in multi-business unit compensation strategy
Experience in organizations with 1000 employees
Demonstrated success in cost-effective rewards design
Some public company work experience required
Preferred experience in commercial construction or other and related industrials verticals
Preferred experience at the Corporate COE level in a complex, multi-state, multi-unit environment

Compensation Range: $195,000 - $215,000 Annual Bonus: 15% of base salary comprehensive benefits package
