Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Director of FGI's Trailer Division to join our team at our corporate head office in Winnipeg
Based out of Winnipeg and reporting to the President, this role will develop, manage and support the profitable growth of FGI's Trailer Division across Canada
What You Will Do:
- Manage/support the sales team and support staffthrough ongoing development and achieving FGI's salesand profitability targets.
- Coordinate delivery ofproduct knowledge to sales team and support staff
- Manage trailerinventory levels to meet production allocation from suppliers and supportbranch monthly sales targets
- Communicate with factorieson behalf of FGI to address concerns, product enhancements, pricing andmarketing
- Communicate with FGI salesteam to ensure staff are up on current product changes, inventory availability,and price updates
- Research and trackcompetitor product pricing levels, activities, programs and tactics.
- Provide insight oncompetitor pricing, programs and strategy to ensure FGI remains competitive togrow markets profitably
- Travel to otherbranches to support end-customer visits and factory visits with the sales teams
- Assist Branches with all sales and marketing opportunities, including advertising and demonstrations
- Coordinate and participate in trade shows across Canada
- Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Champion FGI's safety culture by ensuring staff is performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Other duties as required.
What We Require:
- Bachelor's degree ordiploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field combined witha strong working knowledge of Trailers
- 5+ years working experiencein a senior management role in similar
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or product or technical supportknowledge and experience in vocational trailers and working with manufacturersand/or dealers.
- Proven track record in sales or business development(transport/logistics preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Trailers required.
- Valid class 5/G license required clear abstract required
- Ability to obtain/possess a valid passport and occasional travelinternationally required
- Strong organizational and customer service skills required.
- Previous experience with Salesforce preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills - dedicated to exceeding theexpectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills - ability to write and speak succinctlywith customers and colleagues.
- Basic to proficientknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learnin-house systems.
