Location: East Hanover, NJ 07936

Salary: $85,000.00 to $90000.00

SUMMARY: The Director of Training will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing comprehensive training programs for employees within the agency. This role requires a deep understanding of DDD regulations and best practices, as well as the ability to create engaging and effective learning opportunities that support the professional development of our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement a strategic training plan aligned with agency goals and DOE/DDD regulations.
  • Oversee New Employee Orientation (NEO) and ongoing professional development for employees.
  • Mentor and support training staff to enhance their effectiveness in delivering training programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.
  • Manage all aspects of training projects, including planning training days for all Pillar Care programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff training activities, certifications, and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership teams, Human Resources, and program managers to identify training needs and improve organizational performance.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings to ensure training aligns with the agency's mission and goals.
  • Provide regular reports to executive leadership regarding training outcomes and compliance status.
  • Use data to continually improve the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Promote and model inclusive practices in all training programs, ensuring that all staff members understand cultural competence and diversity within the workplace.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA or BS degree in social service, rehabilitation, health, business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with a focus on training and development, preferably in a developmental disabilities or healthcare setting.
  • Experience working and collaborating with multiple disciplines and educational levels.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs that support both compliance and professional development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
