Director of Truck Sales

Compensation is based on experience, skills, and abilities ranging from $150,000-$200,000 per year with additional annual incentives

This position is responsible for managing sales activities at Johnson Truck Center (Daimler) and Dovell & Williams (Isuzu) locations.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Income Statement management to ensure financial goals are achieved.
  • Truck ordering review and stocking management leading to inventory efficiency.
  • Train and supervise a team of New and Used sales representatives to ensure a unified sales force.
  • Establish and track clear sales objectives and work with team members to achieve goals.
  • Create a distinct sales process and marketing strategies for sales personnel to follow.
  • Create an efficient and modern sales administrative process evidenced by documentation, digitization, consistency, accuracy and reportability.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by counseling sales team, building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Educate sales staff by providing product and strategic training opportunities.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the competitive landscape of each market together with the specific capabilities of our stores by market.
  • Coordinate with local managers to identify opportunities and execute.
  • Develop appropriate new supply relationships to maximize opportunities and increase inventory turns.
  • Work effectively with the dealership personnel to ensure a high level of interdepartmental cooperation and support.
  • Develop relationships with key OEM personnel to ensure our organization is meeting goals and taking advantage of all factory resources.
  • Work with the Marketing Department to create effective marketing pieces.
  • Work effectively with corporate personnel to deal with issues and support corporate policies.
  • This position requires regular travel throughout the territory
