We are searching for an experienced Director of Warehouse and Bakery Plant Operations for our StoreSupport Center located at 2311 Wirt Rd, Houston TX, 77055.
SUMMARY

The Directorof warehousing and Bakery Plant is responsible for the complete operation ofdesignated production lines and warehouse operations. They work with corporatemanagement, supervisors, associates, and ensuring them to meet the production expectations.Director of warehousing and Bakery Plant as role models of professionalism,ethical behavior, and effective decision-making at all times. The Director ofwarehousing and Bakery Plant is responsible for the proper operation of allproduction lines within the commissary as well for the warehouse operations.They focus on their employees and solve complex problems. This personcoordinates the work of employees to achieve satisfactory operating results,which comply with company procedures and policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES includethe following. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Plant Director is accountable for:

Commissary Operations

  • Supervising production plans, which are established by management
  • Controlling commissary and warehouse operating budget.
  • Enforcing established programs, which comply with city codes, health regulations, weights and measure regulations and ensuring standards in all items produced in the commissary are being met.
  • Controlling labor costs for the entire commissary and warehouse.
  • Responsible for commissary and warehouse supervision, including make sure all items produced at the commissary are made following authorized recipes and procedures
  • Works closely with Director of Operations and Buyers in implementing corporate strategies; handling commissary facilities management, ensuring quality control, budget, and overall profit and loss; coaching and assisting specialists and offering advice on all aspects of commissary and warehouse operations

Employee Development

  • Building and maintaining a positive working relationship with employees and peers
  • Executing and communicating company procedures and policies in a manner consistent with Chedraui USA mission
  • Motivating and inspiring team in reaching high performance and in providing friendly customer service
  • Managing the development and performance of the commissary and warehouse employees


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

  • High School Diploma, Associate's Degree or better preferred
  • Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Experience:
  • 5-7 years in food manufacturing industry and warehousing, preferable within the bakery or related industry with direct plant manager and warehousing operations experience.

Preferred Field of Expertise
  • Supervisory and operational experience in similar industry

Skills Assessment/Evaluation

  • Communication - written and oral skills (Bilingual English/Spanish)
  • Computer (word processing, spreadsheet, email)
  • Interpretation of policies/analyses/trends/etc
  • Knowledge of applicable laws/policies/principles/etc.

  • Scheduling and staff development
