THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) is looking for a highly motivated leader to join our team as the new Director of Pennsylvania's Office of Gun Violence Prevention. We are seeking a strong communicator with experience in stakeholder collaboration to help address gun violence statewide through policy, programs, and data-driven research. As the Director, you and your team will collaborate with other state agencies, law enforcement officials, public health experts, policymakers, and community organizations to drive meaningful change and increase community safety. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As the Director of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, you will represent the agency in matters related to gun and community violence. You will also serve as the primary liaison between the office and local, state, and federal partners to enhance information sharing and best practices. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating closely with relevant stakeholder groups, including PCCD's Commission and Advisory Committees, as well as an advisory group of national, state, and community experts and stakeholders convened to help inform the office's work. In order to stay consistent with Executive Order 2024-02, you will formulate and implement a comprehensive gun violence prevention plan for the Commonwealth. This will include addressing areas such as firearm suicides, community gun violence, unintentional shootings, youth gun involvement, mass shootings, and the intersections of gun violence with domestic and intimate partner violence.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years of professional experience in administering gun violence prevention programs or gun violence education and outreach efforts with community organizations, which includes two years of supervisory experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of supervisory experience in gun violence prevention programs or gun violence education and outreach efforts.
Additional Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
