Description:

The Director, On Premise Marketing will oversee the development and implementation of initiatives in the On Premise channel that are specifically geared towards increasing consumer pull and driving service industry push of the product and brand. You will be a strong collaborator, interfacing with all key stakeholders across both the sales and marketing organization and externally with key national On Premise industry drivers. You will work very closely with International, HQ & local Canadian stakeholders in the OP & Marketing organization ensuring programs & initiatives are fully aligned and implemented. In addition, you will lead & direct the team in strategic business planning & implementation focused on occasions, consumer and industry marketing and will be responsible for authoring and accountability towards the On Premise Marketing annual business plan.

  • STRATEGIC & TACTICAL PLANNING

    Prepare & build annual & long range plans in accordance with National & International objectives.

    Drive direction and alignment of On Premise marketing initiatives through Red Bull Canada & supports the field in the planning process.

    Market trend analysis of current Consumer and Industry trends to identify opportunities, create strategies and tactics which accelerate the relevance, sale and distribution of Red Bull.

    Set the Joint Business Planning strategy for key accounts across all On Premise segments.
  • IMPLEMENTATION

    Interface with Brand Marketing, Culture, & On Premise Sales organization to closely align objectives and drives relevant marketing initiatives in On Premise.

    Interface with Trade Marketing and Operations to ensure the field is equipped with the right tools (i.e. POS, etc.).

    Define & measure success of all On Premise Marketing programs and drives ROI.

    Drive innovation, authenticity and relevance to the On Premise with programs, tools & concepts.

    Manage agencies & key industry relationships effectively to develop tactics & identify opportunities.

    Hold field and key account teams accountable to programming standards.
  • LEADERSHIP, MENTORING & COACHING

    Influence outside his/her direct sphere of influence through constructive collaboration & established ways of working.

    Maintain & ensure performance management systems are leveraged effectively to drive top performance results.

    Ensure yearly goals & KPIs are aligned & set for direct reports.

    Collect and share results / key learnings of On Premise Marketing programs / initiatives across the organization.

    Upgrade internal talent via coaching, training & hiring support.

    Identify support gaps and puts in place business cases to support growth for the department.

    Is the On Premise advocate for all marketing needs at HQ, Global or external.
  • FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION

    Develop and owns the national On Premise marketing budget.

    Hold regional teams accountable to in market marketing budgets and ensure spend is directed to the correct initiatives.

    Closely monitor to ensure on budget & asses/propose if additional resources are needed to grow the business.

    Monthly/quarterly reporting of business results.

    Partake in key industry conferences, meetings and events to learn about industry trends.
  • KEY RESULTS & DELIVERABLES

    Develop and execute the On Premise Mission and strategy.

    Drive increased moments of needs through strong marketing activations driving increased sales.

    Deliver OPM plan & goals per Business Plan.

    Deliver T&A results per Business Plan.

    Manage an efficient & effective budget.

    Seamless inter-departmental communication flow across all key project stakeholders (Marketing & Sales).

    Acts as a strong, collaborative partner with the sales teams and ensure that initiatives support short and long-term volume growth.


EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 8+ years of Marketing and/or On Premise experience.
  • Demonstrated passion, enthusiasm and knowledge for the evolving Canadian On Premise channel.
  • Exceptional communication skills & ability to influence others (verbal & presentation).
  • Strong leadership skills & ability to create an effective collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in managing people & leading key projects (project management).
  • Strong planning and analytical skills.
  • Comfort in a large international matrix organization.
  • Budget management experience is required.
  • Fluent in English, French is an asset.
  • Travel 20-30%
  • Temporary
