Description:

We are looking for an experienced and effective Director of Operations to lead our mass timber glulam facility in Albert Lea, MN. They will oversee a team of skilled individuals to create world-class structural beams and glulam utility poles while contributing to Bell's mission of radically loving and influencing lives.
This Director of Operations will be responsible for the entire Alamco operation with focus on increasing efficiency, reducing cost, and implementing automation and improvements across multiple plants. They will oversee materials, scheduling and logistics, production, and performance to ensure business goals and safety & quality standards are met or exceeded.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a custom manufacturing environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to think outside the box and generate creative solutions.
  • Effective in coping with change and leading others through new processes.
  • Ability to communicate professionally during conflicts, internally and externally.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform the duties of this job, the employee is required to use the computer for extended periods of time in a sitting or standing position. Ability to work under time constraints and ability to work in a face paced work environment. The employee will need to be able to be on their feet for an extended period. Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving products, minimum of 50 lbs. Exposure to varying types of climates. Outside environment can be dusty & noisy. Equipment & treated lumber may emit fumes.
