Job Description
The Director Operations for the Transfer Center provides strategic leadership and oversight of the operations and growth of the transfer center. The role focuses on business development in outlying facilities, project management, strategic planning, and strengthening relationships with physicians to coordinate appropriate placement of patients within the system in a timely manner, and other key stakeholders. The Director ensures that the transfer center operates efficiently, aligns with organizational goals, and provided exceptional service to patients, physicians and hospital partners while supporting and promoting the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Our Lady of the Lake Health.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the transfer center's reach and optimize operational efficiency.
Identify growth opportunities and partnerships to enhance service offerings and streamline patient transfers.
Monitor industry trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
Operations Management
Oversee that the operations of the transfer center are adhering to established protocols and performance metrics.
Optimize workflows and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and maintain high-quality service delivery.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for patient transfer processes.
Builds and maintains a high-functioning patient placement team.
Business Development
Build and maintain relationships with referring hospitals, physicians and community stakeholders to drive referrals and enhance collaboration.
Lead initiatives to increase market share and improve transfer center utilization.
Represent the transfer center in business development meetings, conferences and community events.
Project Management
Lead and execute transfer center projects, including technology upgrades, process improvement initiatives and expansion plans.
Develop project timelines, manage budgets, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Physician Relationship Management
Serve as the primary liaison between the transfer center and the physician community.
Foster strong relationships with physicians to enhance communication, trust and satisfaction.
Address physician concerns promptly and develop solutions to improve the transfer experience.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, prepare reports for senior leadership.
Use data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications
- Experience: Seven (7) years of leadership-proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and physician relationship management.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management or related field
