Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director of People Experience, the Director of People Experience: 1) Using a customer service approach provides people relations consultative services to client group by providing guidance on employee relations policies and practices 2) Monitor and help to enhance employee morale 3) Function as primary PX contact for all client group employees and 4) The agency is committed to infusing our anti-racism value into all our work at Safe Horizon and its culture. Safe Horizon is currently operating under a hybrid model of onsite and remote work. Please note that this role is currently expected to work onsite 2 days per week, however this is subject to change.
Hiring Range: $90,400 - $101,700

Responsibilities:
- Supports partner group leaders regarding their employee relations, performance management and other People Relations issues.
- Using a customer service approach, provides counsel and support to management on the appropriate interpretation and application of human resources policies, including support and counsel on organizational structure and workflow management.
- Provides guidance in managing employee relations issues by coaching and counseling client group leaders on performance management and other People Relations matters.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and external agents, e.g., governmental agencies and contract funders.
- Conducts performance coaching, advising and mediation, as needed.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Connect with our staff to reinforce a strong trusting working relationship by visiting assigned program site locations.
- Facilitate monthly new hire orientation.
- Conducts investigations in response to employee complaints, employment litigation, and workplace grievances.
- Other duties as assigned.
Professional Experiences:
- A demonstrated ability to formulate creative solutions to human resource challenges.
- A demonstrated ability to manage and initiate human resource functions in a fast-moving environment of highly skilled professionals.
- Experience utilizing HRIS systems.
- Experience providing support and counsel to managers.
- Ability to multitask and manage assignments independently
- Ability to communicate and work with various department and employee levels
Required skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work with all organizational levels
- An ability to analyze work force issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Sensitivity to the internal and external political implications of the human resources function.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Microsoft office and computer skills required
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Knowledge of HRIS database functionality, (preferably UKG Pro), report writing and running queries is highly desired.
- Expert technical knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- 5+ years of human resources generalist experience. Not-for-Profit experience a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR relevant laws and policies
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities along with demonstrated success advising and coaching managers
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks, and shifting priorities under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated strategic planning, project management, and resource allocation skills
- Effective interpersonal/customer service skills, presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff members within the agency
- Understanding of relevant employment laws
