Job Summary
The Director of Perioperative Services at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) is clinically, administratively and fiscally accountable for Surgery, PACU, Anesthesia, SSU, Endo, Pre-Op Clinic and Sterile Processing Services. The director reports to the hospital's VP of Operations, and assures that the mission, goals, and philosophy of the hospital and nursing service are consistently implemented within their scope of responsibility.
As a level 2 trauma designation, ARRMC has a state-of-the-art surgical department with 15 OR suites, including 2 dedicated cardiac surgery suites and hybrid operating room. With 9-10 blocks per day, ARRMC performs approximately 10,000 cases per year with a variety of specialties. These specialties include: general/vascular, neurosurgery, total joint/orthopedics, bariatric surgery, trauma, ENT, plastics, urology and cardiothoracic surgery.
As a progressive surgical hospital, ARRMC performs robotic urological, gynecological and general surgery - and was one of the first in the state of Oregon to employ the use of the Mazor neurosurgical robot and to perform transcather aortic valve replacement (TAVR). ARRMC also performs Davinci Si and Xi robotic surgeries in general, urology and GYN specialties. As the region's referral center, serving nine counties, ARRMC is also recognized as a top cardiac surgery hospital in the Northwest performing approximately 600 heart cases and 400 lung cases per year.

Job Requirements
- 5 years progressive leadership experience including perioperative nursing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
- Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration or related field
- TCRN: Trauma Certified Registered Nurse
- The Nursing Director facilitates the vision and values by setting professional standards in an open, creative, accountable, non-threatening and supportive environment, including empowerment of staff.
- The Director works collaboratively with the VP of Operations and cooperates in the overall plan for clinical services and units within his / her area of responsibility.
- Responsible for strategic planning, program development, capital and operational budgets for clinical services within area of responsibility.
- Facilitates, advises and coaches Team Leaders, Physicians and Staff regarding specific departmental policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with other departmental leaders and/or executive staff concerning cross-functional topics or issues.
- Promotes and encourages cohesive inter and intra-departmental activities and teamwork.
