JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to oversee strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and support cost savings initiatives for Port Services categories across NCLH. It also requires the individual to strategically position the company for best solutions relative to the services we procure including collaborative problem solving, using both creative and standard approaches to address complex issues.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee Port Services category strategies developed by Category Managers to achieve cost savings and improve quality and service levels by identifying opportunity areas such as product standardization and supplier consolidation.
  • Effectively work with functional and business groups as a trusted advisor to determine desired service specifications and projected demand when making recommended action plans.
  • Prepare contract recommendations for approval, secure management sign-off, and issue award letters to suppliers. Assess the contract's alignment with company goals and guest experience, and recommend sourcing or contract strategies to management.
  • Administer contracts and bid schedules and ensure that all contractual requirements are met by both the supplier and the organization. Ensure contracted prices and expiration dates are accurately reflected in quote files and system.
  • Lead vendor development activities to improve overall services quality and reduce costs, in compliance with guidelines and policies. Activities included but not limited to: tradeshows, seminars and industry events.
  • Strategically evaluate market conditions for Port Services category of spend in order to maintain proper quality, supply and cost controls for supply chain. Prepare market trend analysis for management & propose market timing approach.
  • Manage supplier performance reviews and scorecards, evaluate, and recommend suppliers, and maintain ongoing relationships. Identify new suppliers to meet business needs and collaborate with stakeholders and third parties to ensure timely completion of Port Services tasks.
  • Evaluate supply chain operations and business practices and develop processes to facilitate improved efficiency at all levels within the department.
  • Contribute to Port Services projects impacting company's Environmental Social Governance initiatives, including 2030 Decarbonization objectives.
  • Provide Port Services subject matter expertise to associated business/function groups.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: B.S/B.A degree in Business (or other related degree programs). MBA or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 10 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience, performance measurement, contract negotiation, project management, category management, business analysis, or change management experience.
  • 5+ years of Port Services category specific experience.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
  • Working knowledge of an automated logistics and purchasing system is required, preferably with Amos and SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology with pragmatism to manage exceptions.
  • Ability to develop category and sourcing strategies by identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Track record of effectively directing and leveraging procurement spend in assigned category areas by leading global cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Strong leadership presence and negotiation/contract management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with best practice processes, tools, and procurement/spend systems data and analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and management capabilities to manage and develop Category Specialists.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and report summation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to apply change management and consulting skills/knowledge and expertise.
  • Firsthand working knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology required. Port Services knowledge and expertise preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), proficiency in Procure-to-Pay systems (e.g. Ariba).
  • Team Building, technical knowledge and expertise, high degree of business acumen, management, and interpersonal skills.
