Position Overview:
Successful candidate will have leadership level experience in Healthcare Quality Leadership experience, preferably in a Home Health and/or Hospice environment.
The Director will work as part of the operations leadership team to accelerate the measurable and continual progress in meeting Sutter Care at Home (SCAH) quality objectives. The incumbent works collaboratively with Medical Directors, Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), operational executives, and quality and patient safety executives to develop the strategic plan, set direction, and evaluate clinical quality management programs. The Director is responsible for overall management of activities and resources as related to planning, budgeting, organizing, staffing, directing, monitoring, controlling, and coordinating the work efforts of the department. The incumbent provides direction and ensures effective implementation of the Quality Improvement Program for home care services. The Director is a member of Sutter Care at Home quality committees, represents the SCAH on system level quality committees, and provides representation for the SCAH on SH strategic home care care initiatives
The position provides interpretation, expertise and advice regarding adherence to standards required by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS, state licensing, Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) and other regulatory bodies. The position is responsible for the following functions: quality measurement and analysis; clinical quality and clinical integration performance improvement initiatives; patient safety program; comprehensive health assessment program; infection control; clinical guideline dissemination and monitoring; accreditation survey process, in collaboration with operation directors and medical directors.

Pay Range is $75.45 to $120.72 / hour. Bay Range A115 Pay Range is $86.77 to $138.83 / hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.

EDUCATION:
- Other: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- OR MD-Medical Doctor
- OR PharmD-Pharmacist
- OR PA-Physician Assistant
- OR NP-Nurse Practitioner
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 12 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Leadership and management skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex environment with the ability to plan, set and accomplish multiple objectives.
- Proven ability to select, lead, motivate and grow professional staff.
- Expert skills in verbal and written communication when stakes are high.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, hospital, foundation and medical group executives, health plan personnel, governmental personnel, and other colleagues in the Foundation and Sutter Health.
- Ability to prioritize, make decisions and set clear expectations for others.
- Must be computer literate, especially with spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Must have detailed knowledge of the clinical, business, operational and financial, and regulatory/compliance aspects of commercial and governmental capitated health care programs.
- Must be well versed in Medical Foundation and Medical Group organization and structure.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing immunity for peer review confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of total quality management (TQM)/CQI in clinical settings.
- Knowledgeable about health care law, regulations, accreditation requirements and clinical standards of practice.
- Knowledgeable about infection control programs and processes.
- Understand business planning including analysis, statistics, budgeting, feasibility studies and implementation.
- Understands Safety and Risk Management principles and process.
