Position Duties
The Director Regional Alumni Engagement is responsible for creating and implementing strategic initiatives to engage and connect alumni across various regions of the United States. This role involves fostering a strong and active alumni community by developing programs that cater to diverse alumni needs and interests based on their geographic location. The Director will work collaboratively with university departments, alumni chapters, and volunteers to enhance alumni engagement and ultimately support philanthropy, while strengthening lifelong relationships between alumni and Loyola.Essential Functions

Regional Programming Implementation Build a strategic and comprehensive regional engagement program for Loyola alumni to support advancement activity and lifelong connection to the University. Serve as the main point of contact for alumni regional chapters. Oversee alumni regional programming and engagement. Develop exclusive engagement opportunities in each region for alumni to support pipeline development and Loyola's capital campaign. Support annual giving strategies in each region.
Regional Alumni Events Plan and coordinate impactful and measurable regional events, both virtually and in-person, to engage alumni and promote their continued connection to Loyola. Ensure high-quality execution and logistical support for all regional events and initiatives. This includes overseeing staffing levels, communication schedules, and venue/vendor relationships. Develop innovative and meaningful experiences that support the goals of the advancement division and resonate with alumni to encourage their engagement with the University and philanthropic participation.
Market Development Partner with advancement colleagues and outside advisors to identify and develop Loyola's presense in new geographic markets. This includes working with prospect research, advancement colleagues and alumni volunteers to develop a strategic and impactful presence in emerging markets to support advancement's efforts.
Regional Chapter Management Responsible for nurturing and maintaining key relationships with leadership of regional alumni groups including current and future alumni regional chapters. Exercises extraordinary level of judgement, resourcefulness, and ingenuity in building partnerships with alumni volunteers and colleagues in support of advancement efforts. Guides senior volunteer leaders in building strong volunteer teams to ensure pipelines for future success. Meet regularly with prospect research team to help grow engagement, and ultimately philanthropy with key alumni. Provide ongoing, timely data updates related to volunteers and alumni to Advancement Services to help support pipeline development and the advancement division's goals. Instill a culture of philanthropy among regional chapter committees and members.
Analysis and Evaluation Utilize data and analytics to track and assess the effectiveness of regional alumni engagement initiatives. Monitor engagement trends and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership. Develop and implement strategies to increase alumni participation and engagement based on data insights.
Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.Education RequiredBachelor's degree

Describe Required ExperienceMinimum of 8 years' experience in higher education alumni engagement is required, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience. Experience working in non-profit or entertainment industries is also acceptable.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Senior level experience in an academic, non-profit or entertainment industry, or similar, setting. Expertise in volunteer management, particularly in areas of recruitment, training and stewardship and in moderating conflict/discussions diverse viewpoints A proven history of strong management and leadership skills with the proven ability to maximize the talents of staff. Proven ability to develop and foster relationships with people at all levels of an organization Availability to work some nights and weekends in order to attend events and meet with alumni volunteers including travel that may require overnight stays. Ability to support the University's goals for institutional diversity, as well as the goals and values of a Catholic, Jesuit education.
