The Director, Risk is CCC's Chief Risk Officer and reports to the Vice-President, Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer (CFO). They are responsible for directing the Corporation's Enterprise Risk Management Program. The incumbent provides assurance to the Corporation's senior executives and the Board of Directors regarding the management of risk, strategy and organizational performance.
This is a key leadership role supporting CCC in the delivery of its mandate to facilitate opportunities for Canadian exporters in a Government-to-Government model while promoting and protecting its reputation and effectiveness through the continued development of critical risk programs in collaboration with other business stakeholders.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
- Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
- Professional risk management or financial analyst designation is a strong asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
- Minimum 10 years leadership and management experience, preferably in an international business environment.
- Knowledge of legislation, regulations, central agency policies and procedures governing financial administration affecting bidding, contracting and tendering processes; and requirements for risk management for Crown Corporations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; experience presenting to and working with boards and senior committees.
- Proficiency in both official languages is imperative(C-B-C)
- Experience supporting an independent Board of Directors and Board Committees.
- Have demonstrated ability to use knowledge of internal and external influences to ensure robust risk management in a responsive and agile environment.
- Ability to plan, monitor, control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources, to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization.
