Who You Are:

Supergoop! Is hiring for an experienced sales executive with a deep understanding of the North America Retail landscape to join us as a Director of Sales Planning and Operations. Using your extensive experience in sales planning, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, optimizing retail operations, and ensuring the alignment of sales and operational goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in retail sales and operations management.

In this role you will have the opportunity to drive and deliver a sustainable growth plan for the brand, as well as driving day to day execution on our retail operations. In addition to managing both retail sales and net sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Your primary evaluation metrics will be Retail Sales, Net sales, and Operational execution.

This position is based out of our NYC office on a hybrid model and reports to the GM, NA Sales and will have three direct reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Retail Planning: Lead the development of total North America retail sales plans, including forecasting, target setting, and product allocation. Partial International scope when needed.
  • Develop and maintain inventory planning processes to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory. Implement and refine retail planning tools and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Field reporting, territory alignments and bonus calculations.
  • Partner with distributor to manage the retail calendar for the Independent channel, ensuring alignment with marketing promotions, product launches, and seasonal trends


  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the operational aspects of retail sales, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in processes. Implement best practices in inventory management, supply chain coordination, and store operations. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across all retail locations.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and operations team (1 Sales Coordinator Direct Report, Matrix Independent Channel support). Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture, ensuring team alignment with company objectives.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage the total North America sell In sales and operations budget in collaboration with Account Management ensuring cost-effective practices. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, finance, and other departments to ensure cohesive execution of sales and operational plans. Drive alignment between sales goals and overall company strategy.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance and operational efficiency. Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Extensive prior relevant work experience - with a deep knowledge of retail sales, operational management, or a related role within the consumer good industry
  • Strong relationship builder; strong interpersonal skills and team leader
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross functional partners
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Superior analytical skills and sound business and financial judgment
  • Extensive business experience (i.e., P&L management, main drivers of business, savvy with standard business analyses)
  • Strong excel, word, and powerpoint skills
  • Self-starter, adept at problem solving
  • Team player
  • This position is on a hybrid model and will require being in our NYC based offices 3x a week


Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 commensurate with experience
