Job Summary:

We are seeking Sales Director to join our team. The Sales Director is responsible for strategic growth, new business planning, capture strategy, market and competitive research, customer and partner relationships and leading bid and proposal activities for all key pursuits.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify new business development opportunities for the A&D sector, based on sound technical knowledge and a clear understanding of the market.
  • Develop a 1-yr, 3-yr, and 5-yr business plan and business cases for each key opportunity.
  • Participate in the annual sales forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Build new while leveraging existing relationships with key customers and decision makers.
  • Initiate new development programs and function as the primary point of contact with the customer.
  • Lead for customer bid and proposal activities, including win strategy, competitive analysis, price to win, and creation of winning proposals.
  • Visit key customers, facilitate voice of the customer feedback and ensure that the overall business relationship is enhanced.
  • Lead cross functional teams in the creation and execution of business plans through the pursuit & capture of major/key opportunities.
  • Maintain face of the company at key trade shows and other industry events.
  • Transform the long-term strategic marketing and technology vision of Howell into actionable and targeted customer opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain market and competitive intelligence.
  • Understand A&D aftermarket and fleets including market trends, operator, and supplier activity.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of progressing responsibility in sales and marketing, business development, or technical role in an A&D business.
  • Prior successful experience in leading technical projects; project planning and successful proposal writing.
  • Results oriented with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of customer organization.
  • Strong knowledge of key A&D customers with an emphasis on one or more of the following market segments: DoD programs, Commercial OEM and Tier 1 suppliers, aftermarket support, or international business.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated track record for qualifying, developing and sustaining relationships with current and future target customers.
  • Ability to qualify and match opportunities to Howell's capabilities and aspirations. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
