What this job involves - The Director, Security will direct a top-performing third-party vendor guard service of 375+ Officers and Security Systems Maintenance Providers across the United States. Ensure strict regulatory compliance with JLL and client security policies, and standards and promptly handle security incidents, conduct investigations in security breaches and failures, facilitate seamless incident management, and produce timely incident reports and mitigation plans.

What this job involves - The Director, Security will direct a top-performing third-party vendor guard service of 375+ Officers and Security Systems Maintenance Providers across the United States. What is the day to day?
- Manage the outsourced guard service and security systems maintenance providers for all sites.
- Manage physical and procedural security within the client sites through the outsourced guard service provider, ensuring compliance with supplier contracts and JLL SLAs.
- Identify and bring to the account technical current best practices and developments within the security industry that may benefit JLL and client.
- Implement and ensure compliance with client security policies and standards.
- Develops general and specific post orders and ensures implementation.
- Manage security incidents and produce timely incident reports and mitigation plans.
- Develop and implement security processes and procedures.
- Performs audits and inspections of the physical security of company owned or leased facilities and makes appropriate recommendations to improve the protection of assets.
- Conduct investigations in security breaches and failures, relative to internal JLL issues.
- Provide technical input into security projects and manage security small works projects.
- Provide security training, advice and support to site facilities teams and suppliers.
- Participate in and provide security induction training as required.
- Assist with executive protection, emergency/crisis management planning, code of conduct inquires, internal investigations, workplace violence issues and employee performance issues.
- Provides quality consultation specific to security and ensures recommendations are delivered to various internal business customers.
- Manage and support audits and security reviews conducted by JLL or client.
- Build relationships with and liaison with law enforcement, statutory and industry bodies as well as peer groups within JLL, client and externally.
- Ensure the local and tactical delivery of strategic security plans.
- Monitors and improves EHS recordkeeping systems to ensure record-keeping compliance and facilitate analysis of data.
- Manages performance of consultants and contractors performing work on EHS related projects.
- Support the oversight and direction of the Global Response & Operations Center (GROC).
- Provide guidance on daily work activities within the GROC; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; confers with assigned staff, assists with complex/problem situations, and provides technical expertise within his/her skill set.
Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Security or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
- Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices.
- Knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze data.
- Ability to travel, 25-50%
Preferred
- GxP Pharmaceutical leadership experience
