This Position is Open to Current TTUHSC School of Medicine Employees Only
The Director of Decision Support provides financial analysis and insights to guide business decisions. This role is responsible for cost accounting, ad hoc financial reporting, and professional service contracting, ensuring that leadership has the necessary data to make informed strategic choices. Additional responsibilities include directing, planning, coordinating and supervising a operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; developing and implementing policies and procedures, administering the budget, organizing tasks and setting priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and the community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Major/Essential Functions
- Develop financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and provide insights to leadership regarding the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling as needed.
- Oversee financial aspects of professional service agreements, including analysis of financial impact related to contract negotiations, cost tracking, and vendor financial performance evaluations.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses in response to leadership requests, ensuring the information is accurate and actionable.
- Ensure all financial data used for decision support adheres to organizational standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the overall decision support team and ensure continuity and staff adherance to insitutional policies.
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and appropriate levels of management regarding assigned functions.
- Establish effective working relationships with departmental personnel for assigned functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current experience working in the Texas Tech Physician Group in Lubbock.
- Experience in a clinical setting, analyzing, preparing, and reviewing financial processes/ad-hoc reports and professional service contracting
- Working knowledge of cost accounting.
- Experience with contract negotiation and preparing cost assessment reports.
- Knowledge of TTUHSC financial compliance standards and regulations.
