The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) at AWS is seeking an accomplished leader to join as the Director for Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialists for AWS Industries customers and partners, includes some of the largest organizations globally in Financial Services; Media, Entertainment, Games, and Sports; Healthcare & Life Sciences; Telecommunications; Energy & Utilities; Automotive & Manufacturing; Retail & CPG; and Strategic Accounts. In this role, you will lead a team of technical and business experts, engaging in technology domain-based engagements with C-suite executives, IT leaders, architects, developers, and various lines of business at some of the most sophisticated customers and partners globally to accelerate their adoption of AWS for complex solutions, services, and workloads across a variety of domains, including Gen AI, High Performance Computing, Large-scale data processing and analytics, High-performance storage, Application and data modernization, Mainframe, enterprise workloads, and cloud-native workloads. You will serve as a critical link between the customer and the WWSO and Partner Organization, ensuring that the voice of the industry representative customers are amplified and effectively influence the technology roadmaps and go-to-market at AWS.
As the GTM Specialist Leader, you will be the single-threaded owner for this specialist team and be responsible for creating and executing Go-To-Market strategies in collaboration with the AWSI leadership team and act as an aggregation point for all the customer feedback that helps prioritize feature and service development, both within AWS and with partners. Your leadership will be global in scope and you will be responsible for the development of all strategies and programs for this function. As part of this leadership position, you and your team will be engaging with decision makers and technology executives who exhibit a material amount of influence in the industry and in their industries. You and your team will work closely and collaborate with AWS Field Sellers, Solution Architects, Partner and Marketing teams, Private Pricing, and others to work backwards to help our customers define and derive value from their cloud journey.
This is a strategic and high-impact role that will contribute to the overall performance of the business globally, as measured by revenue growth, net new customers, and product and service influence. AWS is looking for candidates who have consistently overachieved in their careers and built strong, deep relationships with leading industry organizations.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise, enabling them to drive executive-level engagements as well as collaborate seamlessly with IT operations leaders, software developers, and infrastructure and applications architects. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to dive deep into complex challenges is a must.
Key job responsibilities
\tLeading the creation of GTM plan, as well as oversee tactical execution, of insight-based programs and go to market activities with a focus on expanding AWS market share with top customers, segments, and verticals
\tUsing your business acumen to drive revenue, develop sales programs and identify new markets and opportunities. You would work directly with the most interesting and demanding customers to understand their requirements and turn them into reality
\tPartnering with AWS services and industry teams to identify workloads that impact our AWS solutions
\tA background in mapping the application of technology to customer business scenarios that help our customers understand how to improve their operational outcomes through the use of AWS solutions
\tYour excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement tools, evangelize our platform with our enterprise and mid-market customers as well as our valued partners and serve as the primary Executive Briefing Center representative of the WWSO business
\tAct as a trusted business advisor while deep diving into data, creating high impact programs, and tracking progress while tuning for desired results
\tBe a leader of virtual teams. You will guide cross functional teams to drive AWS adoption in the key workloads that use the WWSO portfolio
\tDefine, drive, measure, manage and coach on workload focused goals across the business

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer's most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
\tBachelor's degree or equivalent 15+ years of professional experience
\tExperience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
\tExperience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
\tExperience influencing innovation through a partner ecosystem with either solutions or programs that have demonstrated success at enterprise customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\tExperience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
\tExperience with Business Development or Sales to Fortune 100 organizations.
\tExtensive experience leading teams, with responsibility for hiring and talent development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $232,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $345,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
