About the Role:
The high-profile Director, Strategy role reports directly to the President of LexisNexis Reed Tech and Intellectual Property Solutions and works closely with the senior leadership team. You will shape and implement strategic direction, focusing on driving operational excellence and accelerating revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the President and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members to determine, prioritize, and execute business strategies
- Conducting ongoing market and competitive analyses and communicate insights to the President and SLT
- Supporting the delivery of projects to address and solve key strategic issues facing the business, delivering high-quality results to planned timescales
- Providing tactical support to implement business priorities
- Working with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress toward goals
- Planning, coordinating, and leading strategy meetings, quarterly business reviews, and workshops
- Identifying and tracking action items from meetings, following up on progress, and resolving outstanding issues
Requirements:
- An entrepreneurial mindset, able to navigate and influence in a large global matrixed organization. Highly analytical, comfortable engaging in both strategic and tactical work.
- Experienced in managing multiple complex projects with changing priorities with attention to detail.
- Experienced handling sensitive confidential projects, able to perform under pressure and within ambiguity, prioritizing and executing on short and long-term initiatives
- A solid relationship forger, able to lead across a broad and geographically-dispersed business, building constructive and effective rapport
- A growth mindset underpinned by a positive attitude, eager to learn new areas and tackle challenging projects with a demonstrated track record of meeting short and long-term deliverables
- Uphold yourself and others to deliver high-quality results, in the face of time pressure, complexity, ambiguity, and change
- Proven experience in strategy consulting or a corporate strategy/business development role, proficient in developing and utilizing analytical tools central to accomplishing strategic goals
