Director, Tech Lead (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):

Define, build, and maintain a web and mobile application that will enable an optimal mobile experience for Prudential's advisors. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Leverage best Information Technology (IT) practices and trends including TechOps, Automation, and DevOps. Lead programmers, designers, technologists, technicians, or other engineering or scientific personnel using agile methodology that will create cloud-native applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Telecommuting permitted up to 60% per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, Engineering or related technical field, and 8 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 8 years of experience in the following:
  • Leveraging software development B
  • Utilizing mobile development (Android, iOS, or React Native)
  • Utilizing mobile lifecycle capabilities, such as publish, canary releases, crash-free metrics, versioning, and/or force-update.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in the following:
  • Working with Agile Delivery Methodology
  • Architecting and designing web or mobile applications

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in the following:
  • Technical leadership experience within the engineering industry

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in the following:
  • NoSQL databases (DocumentDB)
  • Site Reliability Capabilities, such as postmortem, observability, quality of alerts, and/or error budget
  • Creating an enterprise mobile framework
  • Utilizing cloud-native applications using AWS (ECS, ALB, or Route53)
  • Web development (React or Node.js)
  • Implementing design patterns such as backend for frontend, microservices, and/or publish/subscribe
  • Implementing micro-frontends
  • Utilizing CI/CD tooling Jenkins
