Job Summary: Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production, manufacturing and direct daily injection molding operations to ensure standard work processes are in place and followed. Responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimization of all processes, the plant manager will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Ability to motivate people along with being a highly visible and approachable leader is essential.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coaches and Mentors a high performing site leadership team
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day to day operations that exceed metric and budget expectations.
- Ensure facility and equipment are available to meet our customer's expectations on an ongoing basis and facility is neat and clean 365 days a year.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and Technology advancements.
- Ensure employee involvement at all levels of the organization in continuous improvement.
- Minimize waste such as inventory, overtime, over-production, etc.
- Facilitate and ensure Site and Process level Pulse across manufacturing and support disciplines, with daily meetings for each.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic and corporate objectives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to provide optimal results.
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and plant staff.
- Develop skills and competencies of the site leadership team that enables high levels of delegation and increases each leader's bandwidth for increasing responsibilities.
- Represent company with customers and vendors
- Establish and maintain communication meetings with employees
- Drive in tactical and long-range planning sessions
- Ensure equipment and plant capacity is available to satisfy demand from our customers.
- Establish goals, measure and monitor performance for self and direct reports, conduct semi-annual performance reviews with employees.
- Coordinate with direct staff and support groups to ensure optimization of resources.
- Works effectively across peer group and support functions to drive overall business performance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in technical discipline and ten years of management experience.
- Experience in Leadership, Planning, Process Engineering, Quality, Safety, Medical Device GMP and Maintenance.
- Person must be highly motivated, act with a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication and team building skills
- Experience leading the deployment of lean strategies and tactics that creates a culture of continuous improvement aligned with VOC/VOB
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience with lean manufacturing concepts.
ADA Requirements:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel by air or car frequently
