Description:

The Utica Comets, Utica City FC and the Adirondack Bank Center are seeking a high energy, hardworking individual to join our staff as the Director of Ticket Sales. The position will be filled by a candidate who has a history as a strong leader while exceeding personal and team revenue goals. Additionally, this position will play an active role in the department's overall ticket sales strategy including campaign creation, development of creative offers, and sales and service efforts.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as key member of the ticket sales department focusing on season and group ticket sales.
  • Achieve individual and team wide sales goals
  • Lead day-to-day activities of the Account Executives, including coaching & motivation, goal setting, and helping develop their pipelines.
  • Growing our Account Executives on developing and advancing their individual sales pipelines
  • Manage and oversee the sales tactics (outbound phone calls, emails, face-to-face interaction, etc.) used by the sales team.
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Assist in database management.
  • Staff ticket sales tables at outside events when needed.
  • Develop relationships with current clients for referral leads.
  • Oversee all aspects of season ticket invoicing and will be responsible for any issues related to seating.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management, sports management, business administration or another related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of sales experience (within sports and/or entertainment is an added plus).


PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Paciolan ticketing system.
  • Previous Salesforce or other CRM software is a plus.
  • Excellent supervisory and team management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and follow-through with assignments.
  • Able to train and implement new ideas on a weekly and monthly basis for the sales department
  • Ability to initiate, lead, plan and direct the work of department.
  • Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Skill in resolving problems with clients and with staff.


Expected Salary Range: $75,000-95,000
