The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and recognition strategies. This role ensures that Easterseal's total rewards offerings are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the ESSC's goals. The Director will leverage Workday to streamline processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and implements the Total Rewards Philosophy and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Compensation Management: Oversee the design and administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation.
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Employee Wellbeing: Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee wellbeing and work-life balance.
- Data Analytics: Utilize Workday's analytics tools to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs and identify areas for improvement and guide data-driven decision-making. Conduct regular compensation audits and analyses to ensure internal equity and competitiveness within the market.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through effective recognition programs.
- Communication: Develop effective communication strategies to educate employees about rewards and recognition offerings. Leads the development of employee education programs and resources, helping employees understand the full value of their total rewards package.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to understand organizational priorities and ensure total rewards strategies align with business needs. Provide consultative support to HR and business leaders on rewards and recognition matters and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, legal, talent acquisition) to ensure alignment on compensation and benefits strategies and goals.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to compensation and benefits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Ensure all total rewards programs and policies comply with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.
- People Management: Lead and develop Total Rewards teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with benefits providers and other vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree: Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CCP, CEBS, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience to perform the job successfully.
- Proficiency in Workday and other HRIS systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align total rewards strategies with organizational goals.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, influence, develop a team and willingness to play a 'hands-on' role in key projects.
- Communication: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required to effectively communicate compensation strategies at all levels, from line associates to executives.
- Change Management: Experience in managing change and driving organizational improvements.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Compliance: Knowledge of all applicable Federal and State Wage and Hour Laws.
- Computer: Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Applications; advanced Excel skills.
