About the Position

We are seeking a passionate and data-driven Director, Web UX & Marketplace, to develop and execute our online merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance customer experience. You will build and implement data-driven content, on-site merchandising, and promotional processes that drive traffic, conversion, and AOV, ultimately contributing to the company's financial goals. You will lead marketing calendar development and maintenance from a web merchandising perspective. You will lead, mentor, and grow a web merchandising team. This role thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where agility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Development:
  • Develop and execute Web UX on our newly launched Shopify website and on Marketplaces to drive sales and profitability.
  • Utilize Shopify Analytics toolkit to monitor traffic, marketing channel performance, customer behavior, sales trends, and feedback to gain customer insights.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including Shopify, marketing, technology, and product development, to implement digital-first initiatives and improve the online shopping experience.
  • Create compelling product assortments and categories that support revenue goals and align with brand objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and sales data to inform product selection and placement decisions.
  • Oversee visual merchandising of key pages in Shopify platform, including the home page, landing pages, and on-site promotional campaigns, to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Influencing regional assortment adoption and investments through collaborative planning.
  • Manage the execution of site merchandising to achieve online marketing and sales goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of web merchandisers, ensuring project milestones and goals are met within approved budgets.

Operations & Execution:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for web UX and web merchandising in Shopify platform, ensuring flawless execution by maintaining a meticulous focus on accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, product assortment accuracy and placement on PLPs (Product Listing Pages) and internal search on Marketplaces.
  • Manage vendor relationships with key partners and external vendors.
  • Develop and implement a rigorous testing and learning strategy to continuously optimize web merchandising, content, and campaign performance.
  • Establish clear and measurable KPIs and work with the Marketing Planner to create actionable plans to achieve seasonal goals.
  • Leverage the internal on-site search and recommendations platform to optimize user experience and personalization.

Analytics & Reporting:
  • Partner with the Data team to leverage advanced data analytics to measure the effectiveness of web merchandising strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of web merchandising initiatives, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Web Merchandising, digital marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing an Ecommerce website on Shopify platform.
  • Experience controlling a theme and implementing Apps on Shopify website.
  • Experience improving the Web UX of a website built on Shopify platform.
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading teams.
  • Managing account relationships, product assortment, and Digital Marketing (Retail Media, Email, Search) on Marketplaces and Retailer.com websites like Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Target.com.
  • Develop and implement Marketing Technology strategies to grow sales and profitability.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, financial analysis, and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and product development.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with UX/UI, as well as interactive and visual design, is preferred.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies and decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
