JOB PURPOSE:
Oversight of Piedmont a large-scale construction project, including: planning, design and construction for Piedmont Healthcare for the duration of the project, Inc. Oversees preparation, submittal, and updates relating to construction related programs and initiatives for the Piedmont assigned project. Assures program management and oversight of major programs. Manages program management staff working on Piedmont assigned project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. In partnership with Vice President and Project Accountable Executive, assures the accomplishment of major construction project and implementation of Master Plan initiatives for the Piedmont assigned project.
2. Responsible for establishing project controls, project team and monitoring the performance of the assigned project.
3. Assists with the development and monitoring project budget to stay within Piedmont Healthcare approved budget.
4. Assures the preparation of complex statements of work; plans and specifications, and solicitation documents and reviews the same.
5. Assures the preparation of request for proposals, invitations for bids, and related formal solicitation documents related to the assigned project
6. serve as the contract administrator/senior project manager on the assigned project under charge.
7. Assures the maintenance of policies, procedures, and design and construction standards to assure conformance with design criteria and compatibility with existing facility/campus features of the assigned project
8. In partnership with VP and legal department, coordinates and oversees the solicitation of professional services contracts including Project Managers of the assigned project
9. Serves as advisor to the VP and lead administrator for facility related code compliance and regulatory issues relating to construction and renovation.
10. Serves as leader of project for Piedmont Healthcare. Responsible for delivering project within approved budget and schedule.
11. Represents Piedmont Healthcare to project team.
12. Responsible for presentations to Sr. Executive team of Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Piedmont Healthcare.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a closely related is required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years of experience in Healthcare Construction Management, Engineering, or closely related field ton include three (3) years of experience working in a leadership capacity.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A professional license or credential consistent with the work (PE, CCM, PMP, or LEED AP BD C) is preferred.
