Summary:

The Network Director of Teaching and Learning will be responsible for implementing the instructional framework and other instruction-related district initiatives at the school level. This position will work in partnership with cabinet sponsors, the Area Superintendent and Network Executive Director to guide the development and execution of a plan for implementation of the instructional framework. The Director of Instruction will collaborate regularly with the Area Superintendent, Network Executive Director, school leaders (principals and assistant principals) and other members of the Network Leadership Team in order to align implementation across the system and monitor effectiveness of instruction and instructional-related initiatives. This position will supervise coordinators and directors of the STEM, Language Arts and Humanities and Data and Assessment teams. This position will report to the Network Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with school leaders (principals and assistant principals) and teachers on effective implementation of the instructional infrastructure and other instruction-related initiatives.
  • Collaborate regularly with Network leadership to monitor progress toward the implementation of strategic plan initiatives and the achievement of student outcomes and ongoing district, school and class level data.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Learning department on the development and delivery of ongoing professional development for educators.
  • Direct and supervise the work of coordinators of the STEM, Language Arts and Humanities and Data and Assessment teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Masters Degree in an educational related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of K-12 teaching experience
  • Currently hold a Colorado teaching license and/or Principal license or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Completed and submitted BVSD online application.


Preferred:

  • Minimum of one year experience in central office leadership


Salary Information:

Salary Range 11:$109,165 - $163,747

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
