We're looking for a new Discipline Manager, Structures and Track in our Infrastructure Group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them. This opportunity is located in our project office in Chicago, IL.

As a SYSTRA US Discipline Manager, Structures and Track you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.

Missions/Main Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review Design Packages: Ensure all design packages are complete and compliant with project specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Compile and Submit Packages: Organize and submit design packages to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), ensuring all documentation is thorough and meets submission standards
  • Coordinate Interactions: Facilitate communication between the CTA and the contractor, including organizing on-site meetings as needed to discuss documentation and project updates
  • Support Project Team: Provide administrative support to engineers and technicians, assisting with document preparation and management to ensure successful project delivery
  • Communicate Developments: Regularly update the project team on documentation status, changes, and project developments to maintain alignment and transparency

Required Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in coordination and management within engineering or construction projects
  • Past large transit and rail project experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, within tight deadlines and schedules
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree(s)
  • PE certification(s)
  • Past experience with CTA projects

Salary Range: $131,720-163,620, SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
