We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Center System Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of warehouse and distribution center systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in RF Guns, server management, distribution center workflows, warehouse control systems, and integration of platforms such as Blue Yonder and DC Connect. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and robust system performance in a fast-paced supply chain environment.
Experience Required
Experience:
Proven experience in managing distribution center or warehouse IT systems.
Hands-on experience with RF Guns, servers, and WCS.
Familiarity with Blue Yonder WMS, DC Connect, or similar platforms.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in network architecture and system integration.
Familiarity with warehouse automation tools and technologies.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Implementation
1. Develop and maintain the IT infrastructure for distribution centers, including RF Gun systems, servers, and network configurations.
2. Implement and support warehouse control systems (WCS) to enhance operational efficiency.
3. Collaborate with software vendors (e.g., Blue Yonder, DC Connect) for system integration and upgrades.
Operations Support
1. Monitor and troubleshoot RF Gun and server performance issues.
2. Provide technical support for distribution center equipment and software applications.
3. Ensure optimal system availability to minimize operational downtime.
Process Optimization
1. Analyze warehouse workflows to identify areas for improvement.
2. Implement scalable solutions for increased productivity and cost reduction.
3. Develop automation solutions and recommend new technologies.
Project Management
1. Lead system upgrade projects and implement enhancements across multiple sites.
2. Prepare technical documentation and training for end-users.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business objectives.
Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 a year
