- Coordinate closely with D.C. staff to create the overall strategic plan for the Member
- Facilitate communication and information sharing between the Member's district office(s) and D.C. office
- Build and maintain relationships with constituents and key community leaders
- Manage district office staff, including planning, assigning, and directing work
- Oversee the Member's constituent casework activities with federal departments and agencies

- Experience developing a community relations strategy for a Member of Congress, elected official, or federal agency
- Strong decision-making skills as well as written and verbal communications skills, including public speaking
- Expertise in developing and maintaining relationships with constituents and community leaders
- Politically savvy and comfortable navigating complicated situations
- Able to influence and advise people to achieve desired outcomes
Sample Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in government, political science, or related field
- Familiarity with the Member's district and/or state
- A demonstrated interest in public service
