Position Overview
West Penn Heavy Haul LLC is seeking an experienced District Manager to lead operations in our Odessa, TX district. This role focuses on coordinating trucks and logistics with client companies to ensure seamless execution of heavy haul rig moves. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy haul transportation, managing trucking resources, securing permits, and ensuring all moves are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. This position requires occasional travel (approximately 5%) to the corporate office in Shelocta, PA.

This position requires occasional travel (approximately 5%) to the corporate office in Shelocta, PA.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client companies to coordinate trucks and resources for rig moves.
- Plan and oversee logistics, scheduling, and dispatching of trucks to support rig moving operations.
- Work closely with clients to understand project timelines and transportation needs.
- Ensure all necessary permits and regulatory requirements are secured for each move.
- Monitor and improve operational efficiency while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of drivers and logistics personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges, delays, or client concerns to maintain strong working relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation of load details, safety incidents, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting to support district operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience coordinating trucks for heavy haul rig moves is required.
- Strong knowledge of heavy haul logistics, DOT regulations, and permit requirements.
- Previous leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or oilfield support services.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management tools.
- Ability to travel up to 5% to corporate offices and other district locations as needed.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, transportation management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- Office-based with regular travel to job sites and client locations.
- Exposure to outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on project demands.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Must pass a drug screening and physical examination.
