As the Division Finance Director within the Division of Women, Children and Nursing Services at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The Division Finance Director is responsible for providing complex administration duties including financial, operational, and program related responsibilities and serves as Director of Finance for the Division of Women, Children, and Nursing Services.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field which includes five (5) years in a managerial or supervisory role;
or
Nine (9) years of related professional experience which includes five (5) years in a managerial or supervisory role;
or
Five (5) years of experience required at the lower level Sr Mgr, Business Ops (GSM012) or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.

JOB SUMMARY
The Division Finance Director is responsible for providing complex administration duties including financial, operational, and program related responsibilities and serves as Director of Finance for the Division of Women, Children, and Nursing Services.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- As part of the Division of Women, Children, and Nursing Services, provides management of finance operations including budget development, management, and revision for division offices and programs.
- Serves as backup for operation processes for the division.
- Responsible for division budget development, management, and revisions.
- Provides technical assistance to budget staff.
- Provides technical guidance and assistance to division staff in the preparation of budget development to ensure efficient use of all division funds.
- Works with Finance staff to create and enter program purchase order requisitions.
- Provides technical assistance and support to contractors related to invoice processing.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a budget tracking system for department program managers.
- Responsible for coordination and oversight of work areas for the division including assignment of workspaces and equipment placement.
- Works collaboratively with the DPH Office of Finance, Contracts and Procurement, and Payroll.
- Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Provides supervision of division budget staff.
