Description of Job
This position provides subject matter expert consultation needs for Clinical Services software, hardware and data within the Colorado Department of Corrections. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Pharmacy Liaison for Clinical Services with outside departments to include the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) and the Office of Planning and Analysis (OPA) projects;
  • Participate in assigned projects that support Pharmacy/Clinical Services;
  • Work in coordination with the CDOC Clinical Services Team and Deputy Director of Clinical and Correctional Services as a Liaison and vital member with outside departments to include the Business Innovation Group (BIG), OIT and OPA to utilize information technology and informatics to improve healthcare delivery and offender patient care;
  • Subject Matter Expert for Clinical Data;
  • Create and test Clinical Services reports and data requests;
  • Participate in DeCorum OIT project meetings, submit clinical tickets;
  • Support Clinical Services end users in any software or data needs to include training, walkthroughs, access issues, on-boarding/off-boarding needs;
  • This position will be required to travel to correctional facilities in the state;

Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicant must possess a valid, active pharmacist license issued by the State of Colorado, Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
  • Applicant must have two (2) years of full-time experience as a licensed pharmacist. Please detail your experience in the work experience section of the job application.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree;
  • Experience supervising or overseeing the work product of pharmacy technicians.

Conditions of Employment:

The CDOC is committed to a work environment free from illegal drugs and alcohol. A drug test will be administered to all new employees; employees must successfully pass. Random drug screening will occur throughout employment.
