Byrne & Jones is looking for a Project Manager/Estimator with DOT/Roadwork project experience. You will manage multiple projects and be tasked with bidding, scheduling, estimating, and supervising them from concept through completion. It's a fast-paced but rewarding job with the satisfaction of knowing that our work is helping to build communities, one project at a time. As the number one commercial asphalt paving company in the St. Louis metro area, we want to increase our workload within our community by building roadway projects for municipalities and local governments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of Roadwork construction projects, from planning through completion, working with teammates and external vendors alike.
  • Estimating: Read and understand plans and specifications, and perform quantity take-offs from plans and/or field visits
    Client Communication: Serve as clients' primary point of contact, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop project timelines, track progress, and manage budgets to ensure efficient execution.
  • Team Coordination: To ensure smooth collaboration and delivery, lead project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff.
  • Quality Control: Ensure construction meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Address issues as they arise, finding creative solutions to keep projects on track

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in project management, preferably in DOT projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
